Prevent Now, Play for Life!

· To identify, through individual evaluation, pre-disposing factors for injury in female athletes, ages 11 and older, who participate in running and jumping sports (i.e. soccer, basketball, volleyball).

· To educate female athletes on pre-disposing factors for injury.

· To educate female athletes on injury prevention measures including:

  • Functional Strength Training
  • Jump Training
  • Flexibility Training
  • Planting and Cutting Training.

· To integrate team injury prevention training into practice sessions by replacing the traditional warm-up with a new 15-20 minute warm-up focusing on flexibility, functional strengthening, and plyometric training.
